I still haven't moved to writing stage for NSI #1. I've been writing a synopsis and it's taking longer than I anticipated.

I did have some great character breakthroughs though and I'm super pumped to start writing...most likely this weekend as the day job is requiring overtime during the week.
I still haven't made any major decisions regarding NaNoWriMo. If I get a first draft out in 3 weeks, I will start NaNoWriMo with NSI #2.
This is all TBD.
I've started October with a fantastic run of movies so far.
One of my Korean horror favorites, The Uninvited.
I've also re-watched Halloween: H20 and watched Halloween: Resurrection for the first time (horrible movie).
Then re-watched, The Ruins and Alien.
Can we say 31 days of horror awesomeness?

no scary movies yet for us- but we really want to see The Thing in theaters (since we have a deep love for the first one).
I'm excited to watch a scary movie while carving pumplins (well- not directly while carving pumpkins, as we don't have a tv in the dining room. but you get the idea)
The Wife and Kids went to an apple orchard a few weeks ago while I did some work around the house.
I wrote the first part of a four-part blogfest challenge (posted part 1 today), but no luck on the WIP lately.
I don't get the time to watch any horror lately. I do like to give 28 DAYS LATER a watch every now and then, and follow it up with SHAUN OF THE DEAD for laughs.
Hope you're ready in time for Nano. I don't think I'm doing it this year.
I don't watch or read horror. It scares me too much! I like the fun Halloween movies like Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, and Casper, LoL! :)

i actually caught most of The Others today. I love scary movie season. I, too, haven't really gotten much brainstorming done for the next novel. I really need to get on that before nano

Halloween H20 is great, but you are so right about Resurrection. Ugh! I've rewatched the original Halloween and Evil Dead for some sweet horror inspiration. :)
I also love fall, but it's hard to get in the mood for it when it's 80 effin degrees out...
